Is your dog bored being stuck at home (when they’re not visiting Fetchers)? Are you looking for things to entertain your dog during these unprecedented times? Check out these neat ideas to keep your pup entertained at home!
Search Games — Try hiding treats and/or toys in different places around the house to create a scavenger home for your dog! This will help if you are working from home and need to distract your dog while you’re busy!
Treat Games — Place 3 plastic cups upside down on the floor and put a treat under 1 cup. Move the cups around while your dog watches and see if they can find the treat! You can also do this with a cupcake pan.
Frozen Treats — Put some treats or food in an ice cream container, fill it with water, and stick it in the freezer. Once it is completely frozen, pull it out and give it to your dog. This will keep them occupied while they try and melt the ice to get the treat inside!
Kongs — Fill up a kong with peanut butter, wet food or treats and keep your dog busy for hours! If you don’t have a kong at home, check out this link to learn how to create your own!
Backyard Obstacle Course — Use boxes, chairs, rope, etc. to set up an obstacle course for your pup in the yard! Spend time teaching them how to get through and use treats as a way to encourage them!
New Tricks —Try teaching your dog new tricks using treats or a clicker as a reward!
Movie Night — Cuddle up and have a movie night on the couch! Pick a movie that will spark your dog’s interest!
