Golden Retrievers are one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States, and for good reason. These lovable dogs are slow to mature so they maintain their bubbly puppy personality all the way up to ages 3 and 4. They are also naturally athletic so it is important for them to get plenty of exercise. This can be good and bad depending on how much time you have on your hands. Since they have such high levels of energy it is a good idea to take them to a place like Fetchers so that they can run out all their energy while also socializing with other dogs.

They are also known for loving water! It’s rare to see a Golden here at daycare that is not covered head to toe in water from the hose and/or the kiddie pools. Goldens are people pleasers and will do anything to satisfy their owners which is what makes them such great family and therapy dogs. Their sweet and loving disposition is what sets them apart from many other breeds. The Goldens that we have here at Fetchers are very playful and sociable and they seem to make friends with any dogs they come in contact with!
