The 4th of July is a time to relax and enjoy your time with family and friends, but it can be a stressful night for your fur babies. Loud noise and fireworks can cause stress on your pets, so it is best to keep them in mind when you are having fun!

If you are planning on going to an outside an event, maybe leave your dog at home. Public events can be stressful enough and adding the sound of fireworks can make some dogs panic.

If you are staying home, try providing a safe spot from loud noises for your pets to enjoy. Set up a bed in the bathroom, basement or in a kennel to give them an area to relax in.

Keep glow sticks, sparklers, and small fireworks out of reach from your pets. They can be deadly if picked up.

Keep lighters and lighter fluid away from areas that your pets are in.

Keep your dogs away from exploding fireworks.

In case of an emergency or if your dog runs off in panic, plan and get them properly tagged with your name, address, and phone number. Have an emergency contact handy, just in case your pet was to get injured.

And of course, HAVE FUN!
